Winter Service Options

We offer per time clearings, monthly contracted rates, and seasonal discounted rates (Residential Clients only). To help you better decide which option works best for you, take a peek at our recent weather data.

1. Each snow season brings on average (over the past 30 years) 54” of snow to the Twin Cities area. The past couple of years we’ve seen a variety of snow depths;

2010-2011= 86.7”

2011-2012= 22.3”

2012-2013= 67.7”

2013-2014= 69.7”

2014-2015= 32”

2. The following totals show average days with snow that month, and average inch totals in that month (based on averages from 1981-2010).

We continually monitor each snow event through a variety of sources, at multiple points around the Twin Cities to insure a prompt response time, and stay on top of any snow and ice conditions that Mother Nature throws our way. Our winter staff is on call 24/7. “We’re always up when the snow comes down!”

 

Residential Plowing and Shoveling-

Our 3 payment options-

1. Per Snowfall rate. This is charged per visit to your property throughout the season, prices vary depending on property and snowfall depth.
2. Monthly Contracted rate. This options helps client’s to budget their snow service over the entire season. Lawn Ketchers will bill at the beginning of the month the agreed upon price, and cover all snow events that month for your selected trigger depth and greater. This flat fee will be charged if we get no snow that month, or if we get Boston 2014-15 blizzard like conditions. The snow service term covers November 1^st through March 31^st the following year.
3. Seasonal Contracted rate. This payment is the full Monthly Contracted rate due upfront with a 5% discount and is due by November 15^th of the current snow service term. This rate covers the same events noted in the Monthly Contracted rate.

 

Trigger options, AKA depth of snowfall total to initiate clearing your property.

1. Zero Tolerance- When there’s snow, we’ll clear it. This service will also automatically sign you up for ice control measures to keep that pavement clear. Only offered at a per time rate. Snow cleared one (1) time upon snow cessation.
2. One Inch (1.0”) Trigger- Snow to be cleared one (1) time upon snow cessation. Available in all 3 payment options. Additional ice control option available.
3. Two Inch (2.0”) Trigger– Snow to be cleared one (1) time upon snow cessation for 2”-4” storm, cleared 1-2 times for 4”-7” storm, cleared 2-3 times for 7”-11” storm, we aim to keep accumulations under 4” during larger snow events and will continue to visit your property accordingly. Available in all 3 payment options. Additional ice control option available.

Standard Commercial Accounts-

1. VIP Zero Tolerance- is our highest level of service which allows us to maintain the safest conditions on your property and reduce your liability. We will utilize de-icing methods upon any amount of precipitation, or as a preventative to freeze/thaw cycles and after plowing and/or shoveling services. When there’s snow, we’ll clear it.
2. One Inch (1.0”) Trigger- Available in monthly and per event payment options. Additional ice control option available. Snow to be cleared one (1) time upon snow cessation for 1”-4” storm, cleared 1-2 times for 4”-7” storm, cleared 2-3 times for 7”-11” storm, we aim to keep accumulations under 4” during larger snow events and will continue to visit your property accordingly.
